    Accessibility Policy

Our commitment to making our services accessible to everyone.

    Last updated: August 2026

    Our Commitment

Honey Bel Hair is committed to providing an accessible, inclusive, and welcoming experience for all clients, including those with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves to feel beautiful and confident, and we are dedicated to removing barriers — both digital and physical — that may prevent individuals from accessing our services. We strive to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and applicable Texas state accessibility laws. This policy outlines our ongoing efforts and your rights as a client.

    Website Accessibility

We design and maintain our website to be accessible to all users, including those using assistive technologies such as screen readers, voice recognition software, and keyboard-only navigation. Our website accessibility features include: semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy; ARIA labels and roles for interactive elements; sufficient color contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text); keyboard-navigable forms, menus, and interactive elements; descriptive alt text for all meaningful images; resizable text that remains functional up to 200% zoom; no content that flashes more than three times per second to prevent seizures; and a consistent, predictable layout and navigation structure. We conduct regular accessibility audits using automated tools and manual testing with assistive technologies.

    Ongoing Accessibility Efforts

Accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time achievement. We are committed to: conducting regular accessibility audits of our website and digital platforms; training our staff on accessibility best practices and inclusive customer service; incorporating accessibility requirements into our design and development processes; monitoring and testing with real users who use assistive technologies; staying informed about evolving accessibility standards and technologies; and promptly addressing any accessibility barriers identified by our team or reported by users. We welcome feedback and use it to drive continuous improvement.

    Salon Accessibility

Our physical salon in Fort Worth, Texas is designed to accommodate clients with diverse needs. Our salon features: step-free access from the parking area to the entrance; wide doorways and aisles to accommodate wheelchairs and mobility devices; accessible styling stations that can accommodate clients who use wheelchairs; accessible restroom facilities; comfortable seating in the waiting area; adequate lighting for clients with visual impairments; and a quiet, calm environment suitable for clients with sensory sensitivities. If you require specific accommodations for your visit, please inform us when booking and we will make every effort to meet your needs. Our stylists are trained to provide services with patience and respect for all clients.

    Communication Accessibility

We are committed to providing accessible communication for all clients. We offer: multiple communication channels including phone, email, text message, and online booking; large-print and alternative-format documents upon request; assistance with reading forms and booking details for clients with visual impairments; clear, plain language in all our communications; and willingness to work with interpreters or support persons accompanying clients. If you need communication accommodations, please let us know in advance so we can prepare. We do not charge extra for providing reasonable accommodations.

    Service Accommodations

We understand that some clients may need accommodations during their service. We are happy to: schedule longer appointment times for clients who need breaks or move at a slower pace; provide a quieter environment for clients with sensory sensitivities; allow a support person or caregiver to remain present during the service; modify our standard process to accommodate physical limitations; use gentler techniques for clients with scalp sensitivities; and take breaks as needed during longer services. Please discuss any accommodation needs with us when booking so we can ensure the best possible experience.

    Third-Party Content and Services

Our website integrates with third-party services such as the booking platform, Google Maps, and review widgets. While we strive to work with accessible third-party providers, we cannot guarantee that all third-party content meets the same accessibility standards as our own website. If you encounter an accessibility barrier with a third-party tool on our site, please contact us and we will work with the provider to address the issue or provide an alternative way to access the service.

    Reporting Accessibility Issues

If you encounter any accessibility barriers on our website, in our salon, or in our communications, please let us know. You can report issues by: Email: admin@honeybelhair.co; Phone: (945) 300-4568; In person at our salon. When reporting an issue, please provide: a description of the barrier you encountered; the page URL or location where the issue occurred; the assistive technology you were using (if applicable); and your contact information so we can follow up. We will acknowledge receipt of your report within 2 business days and work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. For complex issues, we will provide a timeline for resolution.

    Accessibility Standards and Compliance

We align our accessibility efforts with the following standards: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA — for our website and digital platforms; Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III — for public accommodations and services; Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act — for information technology accessibility; Texas Government Code Chapter 2054 — for state electronic and information resources accessibility; and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) — as an international framework. While we strive for full compliance, we recognize that accessibility is a spectrum and we are continuously working to improve.

We may update this Accessibility Policy as we improve our accessibility practices, adopt new technologies, or respond to changes in accessibility standards. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We welcome ongoing feedback from our community to help us identify areas for improvement.
