About the Role
Honey Bel Hair is a premium hair braiding salon rooted in Fort Worth, TX, dedicated to delivering beautifully crafted, culturally rich braiding styles in a warm and welcoming space. We’re excited to welcome a motivated Junior Hair Braider to our growing family! Whether you’re fresh out of beauty school or have been braiding for a year or two, we’ll invest in your growth and help you build the confidence to become a master braider. This is more than a job — it’s the beginning of a fulfilling career in the art of hair braiding.
What You'll Do
Perform foundational braiding styles such as box braids, cornrows, and twists
Assist Senior Hair Braiders with complex styles and client preparation
Greet and welcome clients to create a warm and inviting first impression
Keep workstations clean, organized, and fully stocked
Learn and expand your braiding technique library under mentorship
Build genuine rapport with clients and contribute to an outstanding salon experience
Support the overall positive energy and culture of Honey Bel Hair
What We're Looking For
Minimum 1 year of hands-on braiding experience (professional or freelance)
Basic proficiency in at least 2–3 braiding styles
Willingness to learn and receive constructive feedback
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Strong interpersonal skills and a warm, client-friendly attitude
Must have reliable transportation to our Fort Worth, TX location
Key Skills & Techniques
Foundational braiding techniques (box braids, cornrows, twists)
Eagerness to learn advanced styles (knotless braids, faux locs, Senegalese twists, passion twists)
Client communication and hospitality skills
Salon hygiene and sanitation practices
Growth mindset and collaborative team spirit
